OK so let me get this straight
In Tenkamusou (Edajima's story), there was no sign of him getting married to anyone else given that Sakko didn't survive the war
In Sakigake there was no sign of him having any romantic involvement (also once he said that Otokojuku had been established for about 300 years which kinda shits on Tenkamusou's continuity)
Here, apparently he has a son

Either Edajima had some romantic encounters in between the end of Tenkamusou and Akatsuki, some weird explanation involving either cloning or magic, or Miyashita just threw continuity out the window.
