If the rui is trying to go for this girl then this doesn't really change anything, it's still gakuto getting so worried about it that he goes to whine to bambi, so there has to be something there right? Is gakuto really that big of a meddler that he makes a problem out of nothing? No right?
Honestly the only new information here is that bambi is really attatched to his old school life and that rui isn't a shut in, nothing about how and if he's handling the relationship situation.
