Well peace has returned…for the time being. I can’t say for certain that Lou was the mastermind. He could’ve very well been a pawn himself. After all, it’s common knowledge how much Celeste and his sons mean to him. Attacking them wouldn’t be an unheard of method of revenge.

Either way, I don’t feel pity. He reaps what he sows.

Hmm. While it's pretty likely that he's just in denial that Celeste wouldn't fall for him like he thought she would, I wonder if he saw something more in her? What if he somehow saw that she was a reincarnator, considering he was able to use magic, and now sees that 'Celeste' has been replaced by an unknown entity?

maybe, but more likely he was in love with a kid he met decades ago and what he met was a full grow up girl telling him he is dumb for still being obsessed about kid stuff.

It’s not that she replaced the pg Celestine at the moment of her ‘I do’s’. This is a world similar to the game she once played. But it’s not an exact replica nor is it the game’s. So she did not replace any soul. Her memories simply got reset back to what they were before she regained her previous life’s memories. She’s always been Celestine in this world.

The world just had similar characters and shared names. But extended beyond the game’s plot.
Case in point, the OG heroine is a cruel, self-important hedonistic woman who would use false tears and false kindness but kick a child cuz she was afraid of dirtying her dress. Celestine has family when I doubt it was expanded upon in-game. Even the PM has a history with other characters.

Overall, I’m glad this arc is concluded and I hope Lou repents fiercely and maybe years down the line he finds someone. Maybe~ I’m not really hoping on it.

has this SHIT OVERLONG ARC FINALLY ENDED?, could it be true?
Amensia arc as long as the entire rest of the series >.> I just came to see if it was gonna be longer but looks like I can finally binge it. At least it's not endless 8
this arc was extremely stretched, unnecessarily long, overstayed it's welcome by 50% of the chapters, this should not have been more than 6 chapters and i'm being generous

War flashbacks. You’re not a veteran of the anime wars until you watched Endless 8 without skipping.
i watched endless 8 entirely when it came out...., well i batched them, it was a slog

Wait... Did he use the amnesia spell on himself and OD his mind out?
Fitting end but it would've been refreshing to see one of these simps to get over Celestine and find happiness elsewhere.
I kind of doubt it. If he could use the spell while imprisoned, there technically would have been nothing stopping him from casting the spell again on Celestine (or even the prime minister during the confrontation).

I could be hyperfocusing on that last panel, but I'm theorizing he was under someone's control (or got his love for his childhood friend/first love twisted) and the shock from Celestine choosing the Prime Minister freed him at the cost of his mind collapsing.

Pretty sure I said this a few chapters back, but Celestine has ALWAYS been Celestine.
It's not so much that Reincarnator Celestine and OG Celestine are separate people so much as the shock of the wedding ceremony was enough to awaken her memories of her past life... where she was into DILFs, BBMs and Panthers. All of her core personality traits remained, she just had extra knowledge to work off... and a few preferences she wasn't aware of.
This whole arc has basically just been Celestine from before her memories came back falling in love with our dear PM and family.

Of course the best chapter comes after she gets her memories back!

I'd like to think he saw the REAL Celestine when he looked at her, not whatever she was before she regained her memories. Although I don't know if Celestine was particularly wicked before, or if that was all that shithead prince setting her up.

Luka looking like "Ma, are you for real?" will never get old.

I wonder if she'll ever tell the PM about her past life?

"You're an easily manipulated lame, and I used your idiocy to find the real culprit. Ha." - The PM to his Bro in law.

I wonder if the prince is mind broken, or if he's going to cause even more trouble.

That's a good ending. Re-reading the whole arc from the start, it flows very nicelly...but getting drip-fed one chapter at a time made it feel like a bit of a slog.
Thank you for the chapter!
