I've never really thought about it, but it's rather strange that at the start of a series the main character will always be attacked by weaker people, to the point where even if the MC isn't even strong compared to the average adventurer or whatever, they can still defeat them.

It was definitely made to promote the light novel rather than being axed. 3 volumes is the standard formula for that, I’ve noticed. That being said I liked what I read of the webnovel so I can’t say I don’t feel the same

Don't think this was made only to promote the LN. When this was axed, the 3 volumes covered the entire LN release, aka a single volume released in 2022. The second volume was unexpectedly released months after the manga was axed.
