I really like the set-up for this. MC is clearly a guy who was no good last time around, and he wasn't Seraphina's fiance for most of it, so a) it's pretty reasonable that there's tons of stuff he could do now that he didn't do last time, and b) it's also reasonable that there's a ton of stuff he doesn't know.

Feel like it's common for stories like this to set the bar way too high, like the protagonist is super smart and super responsible and has access to a ton of info so they don't really have a good excuse for not handling everything perfectly.

That said I do have a lot of hair complaints. There are definitely art styles where you can rely on characters faces, silhouettes, etc., to tell them apart, this isn't one of them. Which is fine but it means that people are gonna rely on hair a lot for stuff like telling characters apart and determining who resembles who so don't just assign hair color/texture/style willy-nilly.

Point is, MC and Seraphina's brother should absolutely not have virtually identical hairstyles?
