Read the novel if you wish to know more. If you are wondering if this seemed like introducing things late, or foreshadowing things that aren't going to happen, yeah that's exactly what's happening in this manga. This is an arc in the middle of the story of this demon, the golden cat.

It's been a ride! Thank you again for all reading, especially to those of you who weren't source material readers. Even if it wasn't the perfect adaption I hope you enjoyed what is probably my favorite Web Novel ever.

On a side note, if anyone has anything they would like picked up please let me know. I have a couple idea already, but more couldn't hurt. (It has to have furigana though..my kanji abilty is terrible)

Now I'm just going to hope that J-Novel picks up the LNs for an offical translation and that we get an anime adaption at some point

Edit: Message from the Author: "Although it was a bit rushed, thank you for everything Shiki-Senpai"

🪓-kun strikes again!

man, manga companies really know how to drop the ball on series that are more than tacky mainstream slop...not much different from Hollywood in that respect

A bit disappointing, but then I have no idea how they would continue this consider all the material they’ve skipped and never gave an explanation to. But if I treat this as an ad for the LN it at least was enjoyable for an ad.

Thanks for all the hard work Lev! What a mess of an adaptation that was, hopefully this won’t affect the future of the LN…

Volume 1 of the LN has sold around 6.5 times more than volume 1 of the Manga so, while it's not a runaway success, it's doing decently well and I don't think it's in any danger of being axed.

Seriously? It ended here? I honestly quite understand that it got the axe hard, so early, considering what a trainwreck of an adaptation it was covering an arc in the middle of the story as a form of time-loop prequel. Because this was not a good adaptation, for sure. Still acceptable to me, but that was only because I had read the novel :p But Just because it is obvious why it got axed so hard, it does not make it anything but a really poor ending

As a standalone manga adaption, or even as a promo for the novel, this was truly abysmal.

You know what? I'm not even mad, I don't think changing the order of things was necessarily bad, but they cut so much shit it was borderline unreadable for who didn't read the light novel, I'm surprised it even had enough chapters to make 3 volumes.

I hope it gets another chance under a new mangaka and editor, someone who won't cut most of the story :dogkek:

Thanks for translating through to the end. Not gonna lie this thing was abysmal, I think I'll go read the LN translation now to see how it differs from my memories of the WN.

At least this series didn't get axed like her majesty swarm did.

What a weird adaptation. Instead of actually starting with the beginning they just jumped straight into the second arc with no explanation. I can't imagine reading this without novel knowledge and getting much out of it.
