the mini scifi arc is right after it, not right before.

honestly im being overly hard on books 7/8 here. theyre still a Harunohi series, and Harunohi is an excellent author. but for the standards of The Devil Princess or Heroine Survival, books 7/8 of Devil Princess suck because they dont matter to the plot except explain how (Spoilers for Manga readers, not for anyone who has read the books) Cat Husband gets his humanoid form.

the objective problem is that Devil Princess is a dramatic horror and it feels like Harunohi decided to write two comedy chapters. but like, ive read all of Harunohi's work. Flare in VRMMO, and Fleuretti the Demon Maid are enjoyable reads, but theres nothing fun about the detour home in Devil Princess.

youre not wrong, reading the Scifi book-ender for Book 8 is really good for this series.

I'm still hoping we get Apotheosis of a Demon adapted at some point, I really loved that one

id rather see VRMMO Villainess if the lesser works get adapted. I have a long list of issues with Apotheosis' writing, and both series were clearly axed by Harunohi in favor of Devil Princess and Heroine Survival.
