Sure hypocrite might be a harsh word in this case but her talk during her rage was off puting for me. Not saying the boy was right either but just pointing out that the same could be said about her. She herself didn't get that he didn't like her and was just pranking her since he thought she was lying.

She didn't get that because he never said anything. Why would she assume that he was lying when he accepted the confession because generally accepting a confession means that you're at least moderately interested in actually dating. He effectively did something just as bad if not worse than what those girls did to him. On top of that, the only reason that she went with him to help him summon a demon was because it would make him happy to summon one. She tried to learn about him and what he liked while he didn't even try to learn anything about her and made a snide comment when she indicated that didn't like something. Of course you would get mad if your boyfriend always acted like a complete ass for seemingly no reason. While he has his reasons, he didn't make any of them clear, so she couldn't have possibly known that. She was extremely considerate for what she did know about him.

(Not really, his goal by pranking her was to find her true colors, of being not in love, which vice versa can also tell him if she really loves him, so ig his pranks atleast worked, if it was left to the girl, without the demon, they would've never made any progress since she was doing nothing) On top of that, the only reason that she went with him to help him summon a demon was because it would make him happy to summon one. Maybe he doesn't like me? Welp anyways!") While he has his reasons, he didn't make any of them clear (yup this here is the problem which irked me, you yourself said the girl got mad because he was acting like an ass to her, but yet we never see her asking why he was doing so, forget asking she never even gives it a thought, even in her rage she's all about my feelings this my feelings that, when a simple "i really love you, so why are you treating me so badly" would have suffice), so she couldn't have possibly known that (ofc she wouldn't when she didn't even bother asking about the obvious mistreatment). She was extremely considerate for what she did know about him. (So much considerate that she couldn't even get that he didn't actually like her from his treatment)

The problem with this is that it requires her to do literally everything. She has to pick up all the hints that he doesn't like her, she has to put up with all the things he does to annoy her, she has to prove that she loves him over and over again, she has to ask all the important questions, and she has to communicate all of her feelings in a direct and calm way. She very clearly told him that she loves him, why she loves him, and what parts of him she likes and he still tried to sacrifice her after she dealt with the previous pranks with minimal complaints. No matter what she did or said, he still would've acted like an ass until she snapped because he refused to believe her despite the mountain of evidence proving otherwise and the fact that he even acknowledged himself that she didn't get mad at him somehow and he continued to do something even worse to draw the anger out of her. The only reason he believed her at the end was because she got angry at him and still somehow loved him. The difference between them is like someone accidentally bumping into you and not noticing versus someone shoving you to the floor. Technically both could be considered rude but the former isn't even a quarter as bad and can be easily solved by a simple conversation while the latter is significantly worse and usually can't be solved that civilly. If a person was shoved to the ground their first thought isn't "I wonder why they decided to shoved me?" It's "That hurt a lot. that douche just shoved me!"
