@osqmu what "database"? The Japanese government doesn't track the DNA of every single citizen. At least not back when this manga was made.

Yeah, even if they confirmed that, it wouldn't be too useful. They should be able to know his age, but I don't think they'll get too far, mostly because it doesn't look like that kind of manga.

I mean. It's spoilers territory. But there's a good reason the DNA is unlikely to be present in any database.

And even then, we saw someone "confirm" identity on one and not be able to do anything about it, because alibis.

Also worth remembering, at this point in the manga, the time that has passed has been around 4 or 5 days at max. The public is still reeling and confused.
