It's been years, so my memory might be off, but there was one (not an isekai) where the MC and his maid did stick together, and it started with the MC finding a special job replacement book that traded his hero status for a different job with the purpose of being with his maid and not fighting the demon king.

But that's all I remember for sure. I'm less sure about the following: Maybe he became a tamer or something? It may have had some nsfw stuff... or the tags said so but there never was? Or my memories are bleeding into another story. Don't have a clue about a harem or not. But the maid was certainly the apple of his eye.

Kind of disappointed that he becomes unstoppable before even meeting the heroes. The only "tension" is his unfounded paranoia, since he just needs to not get in the way of the heroes to survive. He has a maid that is the "final boss" and loyal to the death. He just needs to "reform" and be normal and he would live comfortably.
