Even the Saint's clothes are slightly different. Some sort of ascot is above her dress. The dress itself is shorter, with no collar. No belt, probably a different clasp for her shawl. Different sleeves entirely, and she's not wearing gloves. And if she's wearing the thin bracelets on her right, they aren't visible.

They are probably meant to be game CG images or something.

It's just because they're cutting all of the annoying training scenes down to the bare minimum and getting straight to the fun parts.

Although a good writer can make the training montages fun as well by having a cheerfully homicidal training instructor.
