As much as you see the "good king but bratty crown prince who abuses his power" you really have to start to ask whose in the wrong. The king does make a good point in that the crown prince is only 10 and an even better point is made that when the ordeal occurred the royal guards should've immediately diffused the situation. Had they all treated it like a joke the prince would've gotten off with a scolding from dad if that. My question is what type of raising has the crown prince had to turn into THIS much of a brat abusing his power and more importantly why does he have so much authority even at just 10 years old. Priveleged status I understand and showing him proper respect no matter how much of a brat he acts like, I'd even understand. But it really does feel like it's not the ten year olds' fault if a bunch of adults with pointy sticks kill when he says kill. The immediate thought is that they're scared of losing their jobs or being killed for going against the prince, but thst brings it back to the king. It was clear that the guy KNOWS his son is immature and willing to abuse power and lie about it. He only seemed surprised that the boy took it THIS stupidly far. But then why even give him the opportunity. He's 10 and immature even for a 10 year old. He shouldn't have any authority especially not to the level of telling guards to kill someone. And the guards and staff should be made aware of that. Treat the prince with respect, but don't blindly follow the orders of a 10 year old. It's simple as that and if that wasn't communicated then it falls back on the king. Raise your kid better, and if you're not then at least don't give them unchecked power.
