From what I understand this WAS an option he considered. He simply doesn't want to suck up to the hero.Oh boy.... he's not going to want to avoid a death that shouldn't logically happen if he doesn't become evil like the original.... right???
It feels kinda half assed cause he's a completely different person so obviously, the results should also be different.....
Not being an evil d*** doesn't mean he has to suck up to the hero...From what I understand this WAS an option he considered. He simply doesn't want to suck up to the hero.
The thing is, from how this kinds of stories go the "Hero" probably has a very monochromatic "with me or against me" view of the world. So if he's not gonna suck up to him, MC has to be prepared to be his enemy. And don't forget its explained to us that the magical ability of MC's family allows the heir to become more powerful the more he's feared and hated + his family already has a terrible reputation, so why not take advantage of that and kill two birds with one stone? Not being an evil d*** doesn't mean he has to suck up to the hero...
That just feels like lazy writing to make a really forced conflict....The thing is, from how this kinds of stories go the "Hero" probably has a very monochromatic "with me or against me" view of the world. Understandable tbh. That just feels like lazy writing to make a really forced conflict....
MC's name is a bad translation, as others have pointed out. Maybe the same for the hero.Wait what? Both the protagonist and MC have asian names but the prince of the country's name is Michael????
