Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that her little sister was killed by the hag, but the manga seems to have changed it into them dying somewhere in the background, and the had finding her randomly, which doesn't make sense, imagine you looking for some person that you never saw before, just heard about, then you go to a battlefield, find the first random person walking around and think "Oh, it must be that person", but for all we know, the person could have died already.
