I don't understand. Why couldn't Auger use [Delete] against Reina? I know she saw how he used it in previous chapters but the trick/technique to counter [Delete] has never been explained, if I remember correctly. Did I miss a chapter?
Nah, it's just the author hamming it up for the tension. Auger has shown way higher performance in the past, and is being nerfed for "reasons".

Did I miss something, or there was a deeper motive in becoming Reina's punching bag aside from stress relief?
She was too far gone in her commitment to her slavery role. She needed a complete system shock to get her out of it.

I picked this up due to those AI reading channels. Instantly caught up.
My only regret is not reading from the beginning and seeing the cut panels.

Pretty sure it's because during the fight when she was disguised, it showed she could outpace Delete due to his lack of mastery of it and her overall skill. He only survived because of Alice so in a straight 1v1, and knowing what to look out for from seeing it personally, Delete is ineffective against her.

Well yeah, he did say that her spell is faster, and your argument is pretty good honestly. But still, somehow I'm not satisfied. The whole concept of [Delete] is to cut the connection of an opponent's mana from the spirits, so I don't know whether a faster spell could counter [Delete]. She did observe him during that duel with the prince, so I guess she researched it and figured out how the spell works, and seeing it once in chapter 25 proved her theory, but Auger never once used [Delete] on her. Isn't it kinda dangerous for her to act based on little information? Well, I guess she just ran out of time and made a compromise to fight Auger a little too early to please her teacher, and somehow still beat the crap out of Auger.

Edit :
Wait, did Auger ever use [Delete] on Reina? I forgot because it's been a long time. If he did, then my mistake bro. My whole argument is based on little information about [Delete] and the original concept of it, so if Auger ever used [Delete] on her, then forget it.

Ch. 27 pg. 15 forward should be what you're looking for.
