I have sympathy for Cain.

Man started out feeling extremely guilty for causing so much pain to Diana over the course of many many play throughs of the game. For him, she was never real so he didn’t care. Then to live a life where you find out that she is in fact a real person? How many of his other play thoughs were “real” and he just experienced it through a screen?

Then spend the next 10+ years dedicating your life to preventing anything bad happening to her as penance for causing her so much pain. Normally he knows and can prepare for things cause he knows the story. But when he is faced with things he doesn’t know how to handle, he breaks and becomes emotional (Prince at a party he never knew about, just now in this chapter).

Bro needs help, but there’s nothing he can do to get that help. Only he knows and it’s burdening him.

As much as i want to punch that pos, Cain need to chill, going immediately for the kill like that can lead to terrible repercussions later on, especially if it happens on a person with higher position of power than he is.

He literally tried to kill the crown prince who was a toddler and made equally toddler Diana fall, Cain then created a fuck huge fireball to nuke the prince. He then calmed down. And the prince wants him as the older brother.

Cain got no repercussions yeah he is a duke, but you do not threaten royalty and not get fucked. Depending on the series and how its executed you can get anyway with threatening or assaulting royalty but there should be a limit and consequence.

Yeah, it's possible he's just covered in ice, in which case it'll take a few minutes for him to suffocate, but it seems like Cain was planning to hit him hard enough to shatter him, which doesn't make sense unless he's frozen solid, and therefore super-dead due to ice crystals shredding every cell in his body.
