Here's hoping that the Prince becomes the beefcake of her dreams, so that everyone can be happy!
So he considers putting make up and being gay isn't normal
Well it depends on what you mean by
"normal".
If we're defining normal as
"Fine", or "okay", or "acceptable" - then yeah, being gay is normal.
However, if we're going statistically, and saying being normal is
"common", or "average", or "usual" - well... no, being gay isn't "normal" then.
And honestly, when people say "normal", they're usually referring to the latter, rather than the former.
And if we add using makeup and being particularly flamboyant, like the MC was shown to be, then the MC isn't normal even among his fellow gays.
It's interesting how people can become so heated about the word normal, and its use describing different subcultures and such.
Like, people are so quick to flaunt their freak flag, and portray themselves as quirky unique individuals... but say that they're not being normal, or that they're going against the grain, and suddenly it seems they no longer like being
thaaat unique.
Granted, I think when people say that something isn't "normal", it's usually framed as a criticism, rather than just an observation or description, but if you're truly comfortable with being a unique individual and not just a member of the crowed, I don't see why such a comment (criticism or not) would be uncomfortable?
Most of us on this forum are probably not normal, and I'm fine with that... you bunch of freaks!
