Suddenly, Hachibei crossed with Zorro.
Sure, the nobleman's duty is to hide behind the line of peasant infantry. If you think about, nobles that refused military service was among the factors commoners stopped tolerating aristocracy across the world. I mean, if they can't even take charge at the battlefields like in dark ages, what are they good for?

There's something diabolical about convincing your baby sister to lie and fool your parents, but at the same time, he's a kid too, if we take "memories of a past life" as just memories, and not as reincarnation.

If it's reincarnation, it's pretty fucked up for an adult to convince a child to deceive her parents, as if he knows better than them, nobles, in a noble world. Infuriating, almost.
I mean, imagine a 30-something years old secretly going against her parents' wishes. Pretty effed.

Even if we don't agree with "D should not learn swordsmanship!"
Teaching her to manipulate family to bend them to her wishes is......Well, that's a villaness right there, ya fucking dolt. :u

The author sure is good at making sure we never forget how poor at parenting these two are.

These are bad parents, even for nobles in these stories. I mean ffs they can't even tell that the kids are acting because they want something
Mate, they're nobles, what do you expect? Nobles but have modern mindset? That's very fucking jarring. In fact i wouldn't blame the parents on that one. I blame their entire structure of nobility for having such mindset and taught generation upon generation with that kind of mindset.
And i already read so many mangas, manhwas of that setting. This one is "TAME" in regards of parenting. Most of the time you find them as political tools and nothing else.
