Dismire isn't exactly wrong, it's Cain who is extraordinarily progressive for his time period, tbh, it's like the CEO going around and hanging out with the new employees, BUT we have to remember that the biggest reason the Aristocracy was taken down because they weren't progressive enough and stuck in the past, so Dismire isn't exactly right either.
CEOs really should mingle with new employees. Would cause an instant productivity boost.

I wish the instigator had been a communist agitator for real, not just an ex-noble trying to rob other nobles to regain wealth. It would have added depth and ambiguity to the plot if he had really been working for the poor, at least to some degree, even if he had been a violent troublemaker and relied on ill-advised methods. Now he was rendered into nothing but a petty criminal, with his messages being all hollow lies.
Magic communism then, returning magic to the working class fr fr.
Left is best comrades, dont forget to lynch the fake populists so they dont muddy the message

The greed of nobilities can really cause great discord among people, starting misunderstanding and misplaced hate. This is also how the Great War started and even had a Part II. It's technically started by the nobilities and they just used the opportunity created by the disgruntled common people to further the plans they have in their mind (which in turn, led to their great demise - and this is why our world almost no longer have monarchies or most of them are only ceremonial in nature.

Also, I can't help but also adhere to Cain's father's words. Some times, clear lines should be made and your role and standing at birth can help keep things in order. It's bad to be out of touch with the reality of the people you rule over, however being too close with some of them might lead to manipulation of one side, which can lead to exploitation and misunderstanding. You must really take sides, make choices, and also sacrifices, so you can also do things better and not do them half-assed.

Nope it's actually accurate in a way, it's mostly the lords who are trading directly with the merchants and stuffs and you need to look presentable if not people will look down at you, it's just like in real life, if you get inside a mall looking like a drag even if you have money store clerks will just ignore you and shit.
It's accurate to an extent - even our politicians wear good suits when meeting each other, as it projects their power and authority, and should set the tone of their discussions.
But just like with our politicians, there are limits; like I said, why do they need the mansion? The Best quality meals and drink? Fine art and everything else?

Like I was trying to say; there's little reason for them having a porsche, and yet if nobles such as them existed today, you just know they would have a porsche (and probably a custom made model).

The old man would obviously want to maintain the current social order, which is also the only social order he knows. You can't responsibly destroy the current system if you haven't got a new one to use instead. That's why most revolutions (over the whole human history) have been a new ruler replacing the old, but otherwise not that much changing, or a dictator replacing an extremely shaky democracy. In a typical fantasy setting, nobody knows other forms that absolute monarchy or feudalism. To maintain those, like you said, you need to draw some lines. These lines have zero humanistic merit, but they are necessary to enforce order, if order is what you want. The more nobles and commoners mingle, showing commoners that nobles are just humans, nothing more, the more commoners would start asking why do they have everything, why do we have so little?

Yeah - it's the exact way how the British monarchy still exists right now (and is technically still has a say in the country). They drew lines and stayed where they need to be. Like how historians mentioned before, their un-remarkability is technically how they survived even during the times when monarchies' existence was being questioned during the time socialism was getting some mileage. They don't try to be 'for the people' rather they follow the rules dictated by their roles (they have some mad-skilled staff to make sure they're aligned) and they do it well, becoming role models to their people, like them saying, 'I am doing my role, that means you can do your role as well' which in turn helps them show others that there is 'equity' instead of lying and falsely promising 'equality' to other. Well yeah, they can't promise that every one will always get some good opportunities, but they can tell others that good opportunities still do exist.

Could argue that the MC is interfering with other territories politics, which is pretty wrong tbf since he's still a kid and he didn't have permission to hold a party like that. He may be a reincarnate, but that doesn't mean others can trust him 100%. Not to mention how risky it can be when things goes wrong.

So far this arc has been showcasing reality of the world. How the MC is only human. We saw him nearly losing shit and killed the person few chapters back

I mean, I guess he's kind of right, since getting commoners directly involved in noble business is an awful idea. But I also think that nobles are always basically playing with people's lives like pawns on a chessboard anyways. If they know that Cain is friends with commoners it just makes them easy targets, but at the same time he can't really help it because of his previous life....

its to project wealth, their society is defined both by the wealth of their nobles and how well their commoners live

they do exist today, they're called politicians and law makers and philanthropists

Ah so the Dad is part of the problem, while this rebellion was staged. In the real world the French Revolution happened due to this sort of thing of the nobles treating commoners as less than human. Hopefully Cain can walk a different path from him as someone from our modern world.

That whole situation looks like a tinderbox that the dad is too dumb to realize got diffused. All it takes is for some servants to sneak magic textbooks out or a person to fish some books out of the garbage (since magic has apparently made it into the commoner gene pool) for it to proliferate among the masses and make peasant rebellions astronomically harder to deal with. Heck, international relations going sour would make sending a wizard intern sneakily into the country an effective tactic.

Of course there’s the other problem of how fast an industrial revolution could happen by exploiting magic. If commoners figure out how to better their lives without the nobles via something as simple as using ice magic to cool down it brings the whole house of cards tumbling down about how it’s the nobles job to make sure their lives are better when the commoners could do it all themselves While the nobles were either too stupid, lazy, or malevolent to allow them basic quality of life improvements.

The nobles are dodging so many bullets from how the heroine has yet to introduce modern ideas or disseminate info that calls into question their supposed brilliance like she easily could have by accident.
