Atp sealing his magic power is such a blatant plot device lol, atleast with the tutoring there was a decent explanation for it but feels like its just gonna get spammed to make sure mc cant breeze through most situations now

There is a good explanation here too. This is a trip to have the nobles experience dealing with monsters, procuring food and water, starting fires and cooking in the field. Imagine if there is one guy who can cleanly one shot all of the monsters and can create water and fire without effort, it basically removes any and all challenge from the exercise.

And it isn't even used to stop him from freezing through most situations, as it gets removed the moment actual danger shows up.

For the procuring food and water part thats just fine, in general the survival aspects i have no problem saying "No magic" to. But for the dealing with the monsters? That does just seem like such an odd and pointless risk to add into the factor when dealing with such high ranking nobles, that seems hard to believe would be actually done here.

Its also weird to fully shut it off with fully sealing it, rather than just telling him not to use it unless its an emergency?
