At the top of the chapter I was thinking "there's no way the author would take the convenient route of having a gem mine in the cabin, right?" and lol and behold, they delivered. Le sigh 🤷

sounds more like it's all just fragments in the riverbed due to erosion upstream.

Depending on how far away the source is, it could be a trek to wherever these deposits originate from, and even then...it'd be just her, without tools at hand, having to set up a mining operation by herself (since even if Alec is sympathetic, it's not like she can just procure equipment and hire labor willy-nilly).

At this point, she's probably more at the stage of hand-panning for small gemstone fragments. At best, she could set up a dredge operation, but realistically the return on her efforts will be minimal at best for awhile, if the original veins aren't rich to begin with.

Of course, this could end up being Manga Logic and she might end up falling through a sinkhole in her bathroom that dumps her into natural caverns full of loose gemstones lying around. But barring utter silliness like that, she's still got her work cut out for her going forward in making use of anything she's found.

I swear I'm forgetting the plot when it takes so long to upload! On artlapsa.com. It has 11 Chapters! Only 6 right now are available for free while the rest is under "pay up" jail! Seriously I'm so ANNOYED!

By the way, this chapter was meant to set up for the next one (Ch 6) that brings us back to the Idiot White Lotus Bitch
