This whole detour and time skip really killed a lot of my enthusiasm for the story. Hopefully, now that were back to Karina's POV, things get back on track.
I'm on the opposite side, I was sorta losing interest in the plot, and the sudden change in perspective was so surprising it drew me back in. Hopefully the plot will be able to juggle Karina and Eve's character perspectives going forward and make both work well for the plot.

Have to say, after quickly going back and looking at the first chapter, it just seems like everyone, except the wolves, are complete a holes. Mc included, and as this goes on she just seems more and more to be just manipulative, vindictiveand and egotistical.

these wolf gals just can't help themselves when it comes to rescuing others from terrible marriage-related incidents, huh?

I really liked the maidservant's line about "finding Karina in the Villainess", with Karina getting ready to throw the kingdom into chaos I'm real interested in seeing what Eve can find to show what pushed her to this point

this was a really good chapter, the i litterly like feel back with the twitst, very exceited also remeber to pick up vol 1 when it comes out in september
I rather liked the reveal myself. The way she doffs her hat is very smooth and gentlemenly. It doesn't feel like much of a twist considering there were 4 to 5 hints about it but it's still presented in a way that takes you back all the same.

probably just the axe lmao
Remember with everyone's support we can help the series out! If Love Bullet can do it, so can we! Aside from Amazon, there's also a product page on Manga Republic for the acrylic stand. https://manga-republic.com/product/product_page_2025645.html?ref=tag_page&type=tagpage_product

Yuri series, especially yuri series in places outside the mainstream generally get very little advertisement. So please do all you can to promote vol 1 in their stead.

Wait. Not sure if my memory is hazy but I thought the scribe's story takes place 2 years after the events or something? Was it actually in parallel to the main story?

Banishment was year 0. Reshutoka and Karina meet in year 1 along with the avalanche. Eve and Karina are now in year 2 and they stated the Prince and Aurora will wed nearly a year after Karina's supposed death. Being as the wedding is next month, it's probably about 11 months after they first met.

The crown clearly didn't want a bride with any sort of will behind her. They picked Aurora because she seemed meek and easy to control. Aurora was too sickly to be volunteered by the parents, so Karina was offered up in her place. And boy did they get a nasty surprise when she started flexing.

There's something that's been bothering me throughout the series and it's the weird focus on ears it has. From the moment in chapter 1 where Reshutoka rubs Karina's ears they've been a focal point in some scenes. And it really stands out in this chapter. Juno's ears and Eve's ears are revealed on side by side pages. I'm thinking that the mangaka is using this as a focus of intimacy. Eve reveals her ears to be her unabashed self with Juno. Reshutoka touches Karina's ears to initiate courtship.

But where are Karina's ears in this chapter? That's right; they're nowhere to be seen. She places her hood over her head to make herself small. Covers them up to reveal nothing about herself. And when she pulls out her hands and places them on Reshutoka's face, you would think she'd touch ears. But they're not there either. She only engages the surface with Reshutoka.

Despite being such a prominent scene as wolf ear touching, we have yet to have it happen. I'm willing to bet, that when Karina opens her heart, she will touch those ears in that scene.

But unfortunately for the moment, Karina is cold literally and figuratively. Still offering herself up as "princess" rather than as "Karina".

You know what kind of sucks for karina? She was forced into a marriage she didn't want like juno was going to be. Proving once and for all that she was nothing more than a tool for her parents to use. Never allowed to have a real childhood and find her own path to happiness.

Now she's being coerced into another marriage to someone who will probably love and cherish her, but it's still not fully consentual again. In a way, her life stayed the same and only changed superficially. Furthermore, her new partner is royalty as well. Same fate, different location. The only real difference being that her partner actually loves her now.

But does she love, or at least feel thankful towards, her wolf like juno does for eve?

Lastly, the story seems to be implying that there is no difference between worship in a cult and worship in a monarchy. What is a monarchy if not an elaborate cult? A cult leader is treated like a god with no accountability for his actions. That definition works for a king as well.

This is some good stuff <3

Hope this goes in for a long while, but... is this monthly? Ouch
Rather hope Eve isn't with Juno.
Karine accepts the same thing as she had before, "betrothed" without any of the feelings.

Will Eve and Karina cross paths and if she does, would be funny if they become good friends but without Eve knowing just who she's befriended, getting her own view of her purpose of research.

Every second and fourth Friday a half chapter is released, yeah it's basically monthly.

A not-funny joke to say that the manga is being axed (which I seriously doubt it is going to be...)
Well, checking the website that publishes the manga, it seems to be doing fine? Hell, I would go as far as saying this series is one of that site's flagships.

The first volume is on preorder and drops on September 15th. My feelings on the story aside, I really hope it does well.

I hope she stays that way at least towards the humans. I like how she is and I want a series with a true villainess MC.
