we don't record our history, we just have an oral tradition
So they do record their history
we have no written language, but we translate books into our language which has no written language
we have no books to write because we have no written language, but we translate these non-existent books into your language
what lol. Is she inventing the written language of her own language by using the alphabet of the human language? Cause if so that's kinda cool

Yeah, I'm really not convinced the prince and sister are behind the assassins.
Now don't get me wrong, princey seems like a dumbass and the sister is at best really not considerate of her sister's perspective, but we've got zero evidence that they sent the assassins, only Karina's assumption. Given how we already know she's a pretty distrustful and scheming person, a fair bit more villainess-like than typical villainess heroes, I feel that's coloring her perception a bit.

Sending assassins to kill off your sister after exiling her might make perfect sense as a plan to Karina, but the prince seems too straightforward to think of that (given the usual stupid move of breaking off the engagement in the middle of a ball), and Aurora... Well, we've barely seen Karina and Aurora interact, so I'll hold off on judging her for now, but going off the one time with the dog plush she really just doesn't seem like the type of person willing to kill her sister, especially since the family seems to have kept her out of noble politicking due to her health. It's also notable that it's always other people that are asking Karina to give up things or take on responsibilities for Aurora, not Aurora herself.

Now, I could be entirely wrong, the prince and the sister really are out to get her, and it's just that straightforward. But I've got a gut feeling there's gonna be a twist.

Interesting tribe they bite when greeting. I'm hoping that Karina teaches them human manners in the village at least

She's likely changing tactics cause she REALLY wants FMC to like her, so let her feel like she HAS the right of a choice (by "entertaining" FMC refusals!
she'll peg her eventually. got to wither the fortress first. then a little hint of fineness, some flirtatious banter their, and will have some snu snu in no time:ROFLMAO:

How does that work? They are translating beast to human and human to beast, written in human script that they can't read? What would the need for books in beast language, written in human script (I guess similar to Japanese written in Romaji) be?
it fosters communication, I'm assuming reshtoka learned a bit of reading so she can understand but its still slow work because of the language barrier hence why she asks for he;p.

she said they started communicating and trading with nearby settlements and as far as not having a written word I guess she means for their recorded history but in recent times they've slowly developed the concept of writing things down, as for who would want it again probably scholars and such from those settlements who are interested.
I get that part, but who would they translate these books for, even if they were able to read? There shouldn't be any demand for their translations. Nothing about this makes sense

Also, I understand that Reshutoka is strong, but I doubt they are strong enough to take on an entire empire? Even if they just go after the prince, that's basically a declaration of war.
There could be other tribes out there for them to ally with. The Roman empire was always quite terrified when the barbarians united.

If that ends up being the case, it would mean that the prince triggered the downfall of the kingdom.

All because he chose the worst way to oust his ex-fiancee.

Let me get this straight: Karina, in earlier years, was told to take her sister Aurora's place as the prince's fiancée. Due to Aurora's poor health. And indeed, Karina took Aurora's place. Yet, at the beginning of the story, Aurora, seemingly in good health, took Karina's place. Which was meant to be Aurora's place from the get go. Now Karina wants to take her place back that Aurora took.

Is anyone else confused?
And let's not even start with the wolf tribe trying to translate human books into their own language. WITHOUT EVEN A WRITTEN LANGUAGE OF THEIR OWN.
I don't think Karina wants to take back her place as fiance to the future king. I think she wants to go scorched earth on her betrayers and replace them completely.

Also yeah the whole translating books to a language that has no written form makes 0 sense
