I'm a simple man: she's cute, I care for herThis feels a bit rushed, I honestly don't care enough about Fol to be sympathetic towards her condition
While I agree that was their motivation, it's hardly a fair expectation. Especially since they said absolutely nothing before this chapter and when she does show symptoms he is basically told nothing other then she is going to die....no big ideas, Cyril? Dang, the entire reason why they encouraged you to join the student council was because they thought there was a chance you could figure out something to do about it.
Comforting a teenager who is coming to grips with mortality and the insecurities of loosing someone who she holds dear to her heart is hardly flirting. Sure it's a show of affection, but it's far from flirting.Poor Fol, though I can't help but feel this chapter was like:
Everyone: Poor Fol, she's going to die.
Then later Cyril and his lady (unintentionally) proceed to flirt in front of the maid, lol
Keep in mind that Sophia is suffering from the same condition. Albeit not as severe. This feels a bit rushed, I honestly don't care enough about Fol to be sympathetic towards her condition
Being presented the opportunity to learn about it doesn't mean much if someone collapses with the condition and you're given next to no time to think on, focus or treat it. He effectively got told Fol's going to die and then was forced to live with that fact by circumstance, and even if he had an inkling, no one would trust a butler to come up with a solution for the princess in short order. He's out of his depth on this case for now and actually needs a situation to approach it....no big ideas, Cyril? Dang, the entire reason why they encouraged you to join the student council was because they thought there was a chance you could figure out something to do about it.
