Jokes aside, I really hope this is not an act. "The heroine of the Otome Game is now a villain" has been done so often in villainess stories that the heroine being a decent person now feels like a twist.

It’s pretty clear with the manga paneling, that the Otome MC clearly said that’s to push Asuka away because she felt guilty that she is getting strays from her getting bullied. She clearly likes Asuka as a friend, and as a friend she felt she had to lie so her friend wouldn’t also get hurt.
