Heya!
O . o;
.......
I know this is a little late in the series, but when Kenzaburou referred to himself a reincarnator it struck me as odd. Wouldn't he be a transmigrator rather then reincarnator? I mean it's not his body, nor was he reborn into this world. Instead he wakes up in Grace's body and can even interact with her soul. So am I missing something here or does the author just not make a distinction between the two.

Oofa.....
And speaking of oddities I've just remembered or noticed. that timetravel tag just potentially spoiled a few things for me.
Good point! I thought of this when the anime aired, and yes, technically speaking, he is closer to being a mix of soul transmigration (精神転移,
seishin ten'i) and possession (憑き,
tsuki). But this series is more focused on being an antithesis to most isekai slop, so I just assume the title is somewhere between coincidence, accident, and/or a slight jab at the genre. Just my two cents, though.
Huge brained move of the author if they were the one who made the anime ending song be Matsuken Samba II as a stealth reference to future plotlines wherein they reference the original singer's show. (Song is v good if you haven't listened to it.)
Somewhat more interesting, although it didn't fit on the explanation panel: the choice of ending song was explained as a coincidence by the production team, since they chose the song way back in ~2021 for its nostalgic factor and because of some thematic resemblance between the show
Abarenbou Shogun and
Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan. Then, around the time the anime aired (Winter 2025), a remake of
Abarenbou Shogun, starring the same actor, Matsudaira Ken (the artist behind Matsuken Samba II), was also airing.
Combine that with the actually great and catchy remake, the nostalgia factor, and the song's status as a cultural phenomenon in Japan (since the majority of Japanese people know it), along with the surprise factor (because the ED was never announced), and it became quite a buzz in Japan.
Nozaki, my favorite yokai in media. A real odd creature.
Truly mysterious. Chiyo approved, though.
