Ironically this revolution is easy to stop: just have the royal family print official "I.O.U" (or whatever you want to call them) with a nominal value of one gold coin (or more as needed) and make them viable by law, so that there is roughly a 1:1 correspondence between a person's possession and the debt the royal family owes.
As real gold coins flow back to the country the people can get back their credit or simply keep use the subsitute until it's deemed invalid.
This is, by the way, approximately how the current day monetary policy works, minus some international policies details.

The maid in these series is always such a good person.

Opportunity to play matchmaker appears, and she immediately jumps on it.

Very normal, she says, showing a very not normal face.

The bigger they are, the floofier they are.

Oh, people could certainly earn a profit from the gold coins. If they got rid of them in time.

just have the royal family print official "I.O.U"
So, paper money, essentially? That is more or less where they came from. Contracts and bonds. Or more generally, promises for exchange of value.

They should also at least try to clarify where the counterfeit money came from. That might get some heat off of the royal family.

Inb4 MC just comes up with the current Earth System for their money and stops the problem easier than it started.

Why does the guy even wanna take down this country? Is he actually working for another country? Or what?

Thanks for the TL

How does this fix anything? They can mint new money, or use an alternative currency for a bit. But the actual problem is that money has just disappeared from people's possession. How would they distribute the new money to people affected? What's stopping people from lying about how much they lost?

It fixes that it takes less time to write a piece of paper and stamp it than to mine and gather enough gold to mint all those coins again, meaning people will have their money back in a few days versus a few months or even years. Remember that the real gold coins have been expended gor goods in the meantime and the fake coins substituted them.
You can't solve people lying about their money unless a national ledger is instituted and even then it's not guaranteed to work. This would be a problem even if they were to have the gold coins back; they have to trust the people even if they might end up with inflation.
Distributing pieces of paper is easy: print them, sign or stamp them maybe with the help of magic, then give it to people at dedicated locations. Yes, they can be counterfeited, but so can gold coins and in fact...

One of the most common mistakes in fantasy/isekai genre is the availability of gold. Gold is rare, which is why it is very valuable and desirable. It would be rare for a commoner to have a gold coin in their pocket in the first place or even in their lifetime. In fact, they would most likely use copper or silver coins. So merchants and nobles will be the ones protesting, not commoners/serfs.

Not a fan of the last two chapters, very forced drama. The guy threatens you, your kingdom and then your woman to your face. And MC sits on his hands the whole chapter. Wake up Author-san. There's a story to write.

The effort of making and fine-tuning all these fake coins to crumble at the same time would have been tremendous. I can respect the villain for that.

I lost 100,000,000 gold coins when everything turned to dust. The field behind my house, all coins. Under my fingernails? Coins. Coins under the bed, too, and on my children's feet. Trust me, I am telling the truth. I'll just take that I.O.U...

That's how tax forgiveness works

"Look, we'll forgive all the taxes you havent paid up till now, just report your finances properly."

Most likely, the fake gold coins actually have traces of magic or sth that differentiates them from normal dirt, for story convenience
