It's kind of irritating how obvious the writing is in regards towards pushing the ex-fiance's brother in the direction of liking the main character. Leaving aside the ex-fiance's brothers rude personality the very fact that he is basically stalking her is so creepy to me. The main character can easily just perma teleport him away to his castle, but she's not, because again the writing needs to have a reason to put these two in romantic scenarios. This book ain't it for me but I hope those who do enjoy it continue to do so.​

in universe reason: because he is still a prince, because she settled down in his territory (aka he is her landlord) and because he is technically not doing any harm (by the standards of those times)

meta reason: because the author doesn´t have any better idea how to force the romance plot into existence.

"accomplishments of a duke´s daughter" does a pretty good job in that regard, with both the "villainess" and the romance interest actually being intelligent people.

Hm, I'll give this a 6.5, rounded down.

I've tried to read this multiple time, but I just don't get traction.
The plot is carefully bent and folded so the protagonist can do no wrong, the male lead is kinda meh, and the "only magical bewitchment could drive a royal to give up an advantageous marriage" plot point has been done before.
The setup and vibes promise a smart MC but I don't really see it; it feels more like the author is aping the form of other smart-female-mc mangas.
