It is shoddy to see that the Barbaros is humiliated by everyone who is not lazy. He is the most interesting character of the two manga's.

It's much better to actually see him struggle since it adds tension. The fights in the main manga basically have no tension whatsoever since Zagan never has to struggle for victory and always has the ace up his sleeve.
