Poor Lauro, despite nothing can be done to save her, at least he'll experience the opportunity to talk with her again like many people who lost their relatives wish they could do. The new hero might actually be insanely strong, if as a kid he was chopping trees with a practice sword. I wonder who will snap him out of his trauma caused cowardice?

Notice how both heroes have distinct protagonist hair. I wonder if there is more to how and who is chosen as each generation's hero too. Maybe they are all distantly related to the time mage/first hero?
Also, I bet the real reason he didn't pick Albus again was, because he was just about to slip into non-existence too.
