Someone who lost their family in our world reincarnated. They originally shut themselves off from their new family, but after learning about magic (and almost getting themselves killed trying to save others) they started connecting more with others. That's it so far. It seems more character development (in the sense of the main character learning to rely on others) focused. From other comments in previous chapters it seems the source material is a bit different.

Same thoughts here. From creativity point El amd Ashelia were much ahead given they are genuinely just 5, 7 y/o coming up with those insane manupulation techniques.
Camparetively Aldo's were much simple and just application of his knowledge. But compressing coal into diamond is surely a insane feat

it actually depends, like for that world the mother reacted more to ashella's vast amount of mana and Elphas precise mana manipulation. for that world the creativity shown I think it wasn't something that big.

Not to be a nitpicker, but a quick google search tells me it is impossible to make a diamond by compressing coal. Diamonds are pretty much pure carbon, while even the purest of coals have a lot of other elements besides carbon, which would prevent the structures of a diamond from forming. If he used graphite, which is also pure carbon, it would be closer, but even then there are quite a few other conditions including very high temperatures that are required.
So, the story suggests he only used body enhancement to apply pressure to coal and formed a diamond this way. But that's impossible and given his isekai knowledge not that creative. So it would actually be more interesting if he used magic to simulate the high-pressure, high-temperature conditions, while also removing impurities from coal, to form a diamond this way.
