I like this series, in more of an aspect of how the family is.
By that I mean the family are kinda elite health nuts, they mean well but their interpretation of Information is off, which is like. Its a mix of the world's common beliefs, their own notions and hard facts that make it more believable if you think about it. The family is a mix of battle oriented and apothecary, so their knowledge is deviated with both those points in mind. The father is a warrior and governor so he has to be as strong as possible to fight when battle happens on the border. The sisters have abilities and knowledge that aren't them as scholars ,apothecarys , and warriors. They help the family by giving them the best diet to keep everyone nice and strong with nutrients and such. With probably self notions and hard data from skills they eat very rare practacly raw meat and drink blood because its the most nutritious. They all strive to improve everything and everyone around them do that's good.
As for the MC he learns to make bricks from the local company and they know the chant and it works, but they have a distorted notion that its about spirit and intent. While most of use would say everything has a structure and a form on how it actually works. They just have the spell and with burning intent and spirit make it happen.
This can actually happen as information can be distorted over time so I like that.
Lastly, the sister tells the MC that mythral "likes strong men" and that would be a hint on how to process it with dense magic but no our MC tries and no luck. The spirited Forman tryies and it takes everything he has to make one with his method.
What im getting at with this long rant is this story's world has a good amount of distorted knowledge that add to the story that is somewhat ridiculous but is believable with a bit of naturally warped knowledge.
