Would have been interesting to for example find out more about everyone's past, and more time to develop the relationship between the main couple

Yea they need to flesh out the other characters so the finale hit harder. Like the little girl murder of the escaping girl is never resolved either just mentioned and forgotten.

Oh yeah, THAT was really creepy amd should have been adressed more than everyone just being ok with everything and parting amicably...that child was likely a genuine psycho

I headcanon that that girl was probably sent to an institution or got some professional help and medication or something afterwards
