Thanks for translation, this is such a fun quirky story to read, reminds me a bit of humor from Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy.

Chapter 7 pg 11, the kanji on top of the big sign I think is 商 (Commerce) rather than 南 (South), https://www.kanshudo.com/kanji/商 , they're quite similar and can be hard to tell apart. Though it's also used in the Shopping street kanji just beneath.

You're very right. I think when I initially glanced at the sign I misread the kanji and was like, oh, that's the south entrance (and then when I went to Google Maps to check, it was indeed), makes sense, and then never bothered to make sure I was right. Confirmation bias is a bitch.

I've gone ahead and updated the chapter with the corrected translation.
