You're very right. I think when I initially glanced at the sign I misread the kanji and was like, oh, that's the south entrance (and then when I went to Google Maps to check, it was indeed), makes sense, and then never bothered to make sure I was right. Confirmation bias is a bitch.@wmss

Chapter 7 pg 11, the kanji on top of the big sign I think is 商 (Commerce) rather than 南 (South), https://www.kanshudo.com/kanji/商 , they're quite similar and can be hard to tell apart. Though it's also used in the Shopping street kanji just beneath.
I've gone ahead and updated the chapter with the corrected translation.
