We don't know how old this "senior" is (it could be the boy in this chapter for all we know), and she was going with her entire handicraft club to the beach, not just him. As for why she lied, it's because she (correctly) assumed her annoying sister would throw a childish tantrum over it and not let her got to the beach.

"Pressure" is more commonly used than "force" in terms of massage.

When English speakers want to repeat the same word in a series of sentences, we use different words that convey the same meaning. So page 10 might read "Sorry, did I use too much pressure? My bad...I'll be more gentle."
