I think the quickness comes from signs that indicate some sort of climax coming from this, with the biggest thing at stake being their relationship, that being had anytime to bloom (basically just this chapter). So we're either reaching some sort of ending or it'll be the mid-point climax.

So I'd say the author needs to put more time into actually fleshing out the characters instead of just having them rush into the mystery whilst stumbling through the emotions. Or else the drama won't pay off.

@Gustbk The whole goal of this trip were to find answers. Like i said we don't really have the luxury to make 10 chapters where they talk about their relationship. I mean, it's important yes but did a cave in the moutains while it's raining is really a good set-up for this kind of talk ? Anyway, since Mari just use this brain and realise she will not see Yuriverse Lily anymore if she leave, i'm supposing she will be a bt reluctant to go back and will talk with her.

So poetic, Marika As expected of Marika no baka, realization comes comically late. But at least it finally came.
Lilly looks pretty beat up :/
And then she drops a bombshell :O I was expecting big things to come, but I didn't expect this yet. What a great kiss. Very beautiful.

I wish I could buy this amazing, simple but ingenious and subtly innovative story as a translated paperback someday.

@emMeBi86 I think there are still a lot of things that could happen in this story if they go to Marika's world together.
For one thing, it seems like Lilly might not be from the other world originally either. At least that's what I think was just hinted at, or maybe I misunderstand. And there's no telling what Marika's other world self might have been up to.
As for the kiss, It doesn't mean they're suddenly talking about their feelings. Marika just realized she may never see Lilly again. She may know how Lilly feels, but it'll take some time before she knows how she feels about Lilly. And I think the kiss did feel organic to Lilly. She's been feeling increasingly anxious since the beginning of the trip. She likes Marika a lot and feels that the moment when they'll have to part ways is coming closer fast. So it's natural to get carried away. The fever does feel contrived. And it doesn't seem like it'll come up again.
