Also I saw some time ago a suggestion about fixing the default avar for users on page load (so that you wouldn't have the same person with different avatars on the same thread) I don't know if this has been done yet so here it is mentioned

Not impossible. I'll think about it.

Actually, on a side note, I personally think the random avatar should be seeded based on the user ID so that it's constant for a given user. Well, until new ones are added to the pool, anyway.
