This has some nice foundations for a good story. I hope the author build on this to make a deep intriguing plot line and doesn’t go the easy way of merely some shallow:
Snob kids: “2 years late, what a loser. Must be nepotism.”
Snob kids: “Imma harass/fight him”
Snob kids later: “OMG, how is he so strong.”
Kind of flow.
Of course, there will be conflicts, some sillier than others. However, many series tend to overly rely on the cathartic moment only and the story end up looking like it was written as a wish fulfillment by middle school kids. Thanks for the chapter!
I mean some of it can't be avoided, since he hasn't learned a thing outside of the very basics and combat. I still hope that he will find people he can come back to the north with, so that he can make a small town later on.
I expect the "uncultured swine" cliché, since the dorm master was warning him about being a snobby noble there are probably snob nobles around. He might meet a school bully and beat them nearly to death, northern style. That'd be fresh. Thanks for the chapter!

Nah. We're definitely gonna get some Japanese "humility" type shit again, aren't we.
