@Corzin Misawa-san isn't even a character, she's just a plot device. Manabu's holy grail. @SoundSpark If she was older he would call her Misawa-senpai not san.
That was exactly it. He's sort of come to love studying, but he has to study as hard as he does because he's not even as good at academics as the other people in his advanced course by quite a bit. Those two people he walked around Tokyo U with this chapter are natural talents that kind of tend to smoke him without putting in nearly as much effort. His motivation for all of that was admiration for this girl, who is also a person more on the natural talent side of academics. Even if we don't want to call her the goal of his studying, she was the impetus that set it in motion.
Tokyo U - the holiest of holies. And the Lady of the Lake, I mean, Mikawa-San, gracing Manabu's crippled eyes with her presence. Surely he has died and gone to heaven.
Like I get he's excited to go to Tokyo-U but why the feck is he going this hard creaming his pants over every little thing? Really MC is so pathetic it's getting hard to even continue to read just to see it out.
