yeah - Meari's hooked, I think. Weird to say that about the one usually fishing for clients, but. I think that's part of the point, here. Which, makes me wonder if it's mutual at all, and if so--how much.

Because this still could be some sort of elaborate long con revenge plan on Sayoko's part over what Meari did with her husband; but it also....kinda feels like she might actually just be 'cutting loose' at last, and indulging herself in a questionably-healthy way (given the 'transactional' nature of their relationship, I mean).

Getting more and more interesting, though. Thanks for the TL as always.

Yeah, I'm definitely interested to see more of what she is thinking and how this all plays out. It definitely did look a revenge setup but this could all be to make her psychologically dependent on her alone too while also spending, what I am assuming is her husband's money

meari changes clothes in the middle of page 9, after a gap between panels that's meant to indicate the passage of time. it's probably been at least a few days since sayoko last texted her, but we only see timestamps on meari's phone, no dates. it was definitely longer than 40 minutes, given the amount of empty food boxes that have appeared on the table. i'm seeing at least four pairs of chopsticks.

The three small panels in the middle of pg 9 indicated time skips. The scattered food boxes as well.

I think the point is that Sayoko understood Meari's mood swing because she's a woman, so she only texted Meari again after her period ended.
