An appeal to separate colored and monochrome chapters in a series :implemented:

Unlike a few series like Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san, To Love-Ru Darkness, and Naruto, there are several series that have both digital colored and monochrome grouped together in one page. Please take a look at the two series below for instance:
- Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband
- https://mangadex.org/title/9803/dungeon-ni-deai-o-motomeru-no-wa-machigatte-iru-darou-ka

Compared to the former, the number of chapters get unnecessarily bigger to scroll over if I want to search for a specific chapter. I fear the time when the series reaches over a hundred chapters, which means that the readers will have more pages to navigate around. In addition, if there are people who do not read the colored version, they can opt not to follow the colored version of the series.

All in all, I hope that MD will be able to add some kind of guideline for this to the existing scanlators in this site.

What's more, I would opt for actually listening groups which specifically DON'T WANT their releases to be fan coloured as in case of
Gokushufudou: The Way of the House Husband. This is a shitty move MangaDex, if you listen Manga$tream about their "no upload" policy, why cannot you abide to the fact that the group doesn't want others to use their script (and cleaned pages, etc.) in unchanged way for some third-rate colour-book?

The difference here is that Yuuna-san etc. are official separate colored versions, while Gokushufudou and Danmachi are done by fans and as such don't warrant a separate page. If you don't want to read fan-colored chapters, then you can simply choose not read them.

As for a guideline, currently, uploading fan colorings is allowed.

I fail to see how this is a problem. We have plenty of manga with well over 100 chapters, there's no avoiding navigation here and no reason to fear it either.

We will eventually add a button to the manga page that lets the user go directly to the first unread chapter, so that'll further simplify the navigation issue.

After an internal discussion, it has been decided that we will move the fan coloured chapters to its own title ID, so they will no longer show up in the follows. If people like the coloured version, they can follow that separately.

@AwaySalt sorry, but you apparently have no idea how much work is needed to change scanned magazine into full-fledged release, so stay in your ignorance.

@cutiemuti you watch those scanlations so you are a thief, stealing from a thief is not bad, anyone can steal from you. Flawless logic I see.

At least now those fan-colouring won't mix with normal releases and won't flood follow feed. I'm ok with this.
