Oh, I know. I've read further in the novel.
So...Soon maybe? Close?

So villianess is just a poor word to use here, right? It's actually her playing at being a jezebel.
"Villainess" is the common translation application, but at the most base level when 悪女 [Akujou] is separated, you simplistically get "evil / bad woman." As one will find with numerous things in the language, it's all contextual. In the similar way, 義妹 [Gimai] covers both non-blood related variations of sister, both step-sister and sister-in-law, but which meaning it bears is contextual.

I forgot what the pace of this manga is compared to the novel, but I do remember a stop right after, so it was probably at the end of the first volume.

I think the WN translation I read used "wicked woman" a lot. Though what it actually means, what she thinks it means, and how she acts it out are all completely different animals.

Yeah, I've picked up on the fact that the word isn't villainess from the context and she's actually talking about her sister's jezebel nature. Or being 'for the streets' as the kids are wont to say.

It's the same dumb joke over and over again, yet I'm still enjoying it.

Villainess has almost no meaning most of the time in this story. Hopefully Avril's delusion will be at least slightly accurate by the end but she couldn't act to save her life. A 'wicked woman who stole her family's secrets and caused it to collapse' is a good start.
Having read the WN (I'm a bit behind, but it's well past the current arc at least) thankfully the author eases up as time goes by, particularly after certain circumstances force the two leads to be more open with each other & a certain (actual) villainess ends up under the watchful eye of one of Avril's many politically powerful fans. Your prediction is technically correct regarding the sequence of events but not really in terms of characterization, lol

You know, I disliked the scene with the steak because while the maid is actually just bullying her, she clearly is not enjoying her own dinner because it's not cooked to her liking...
Nah, I believe the maid saw through her intentions and acted like that to tease her. It's not that the food isn't tasty, but I think it tasted bland to her because she felt so awkward/guilty about the whole situation.

That same maid is also the one who got all the other staff out to give the both of them their privacy.
