Man this is bullshit. And I say that, not because the story is bad, poorly told, or unrealistic. On the contrary, it is far too relatable, and so tragic.
It actually is really interesting in the context of the characters' philosophy about bonds existing only because they can be broken too. Even if you believe that, you want the eternal too.
