To all the people yelling against the husband,
We have till now only heard of the husband from the wife's point of view. I mean, it's her thought and actions that has led the story so far, and no such thing has been shown or said that say whether what the wife think is correct or not.

Till midway I thought i was reading Ebony (https://mangadex.org/title/41838/ebony).

Why is there so much hate for the husband? I feel much worst for him than the Ophelia. Forget about the false accusation, there's also the whole fake lover thing and he's just letting her do as she pleases.

To me her action is terrible. She just let her imagination run wild and refused to believe Diana/her husband's words. A happy look in a public place doesn't mean jack squat, he could've been looking like that because Diana teased him about her. But her reaction is to assume he has feelings for Diana, then get a guy (Claude) to fake being her not-so-secret lover to get a divorce and refuses to listen to a word he says.

Chapter 3 basically said he was the "perfect" husband after marriage but because of a single look, she made all these baseless assumptions. He tried to say he enjoy spending time with her before she spazzed out at him. Wouldn't be surprise if he told her, he loved her and she just refused to believe him before biting his head off.

@/Meo Blind belief can only get her so far. That 'single look' was everything for her. She saw kindness in him when he's with Diana that she couldn't see when he was with her. Add that to her traumatic experience with her father and we get a girl like Ophelia whose trust can be easily lost. She also looks to be someone who is pretending to be strong and courageous.

I think he should have tried to clear it up for her rather than 'letting her do as she pleases' and that's why the hate for the husband is seen from a lot of commenters. I don't think it was (solely) kindness that he lets her do what she wants but rather pretty cowardly of him. He clearly understands that her father was abusive and that she's someone who's guarded yet instead of trying to clear up the misunderstanding, he let it continue. And when Diana was shown to try to clear it up, he said nothing to agree. Rather, he pretty much instigated it further. Saying nothing, personally, is why I don't like him.

Everyones hopeless

I feel bad for both Ophelia and Orpheus (Why is 99% for Orpheus and only 1% hate on Ophelia, they're both shits)
but they're like hopeless cats stuck in a tree with no one to help them
like seriously
Ophelia's an Idiot, and she doesn't even believe her own husband, at this point I feel like she's partly lying that she loves him
She's like Luka from MLB because Luka said " because I love her, I let her go" which is Ophelia
Though I hate Luka, I don't wanna say he's a bad guy, but he OVBIOUSE that she likes Adrien
In this case, it's kinda Orpheus's fault for not ensuring her, but Ophelia is also to blame
Unlike in MLB, we don't have Adrien, which in Ophelia's perspective is supposed to be Diana, but she isn't
Diana doesn't love him, this is just her imagination running wild from just one scene, I heard this saying and I follow with it "Assume makes an ASS out of U and ME", Ophelia's assuming a situation that could've gone more than a hundred different ways, yet she decides to settle on one of the worst possible answer,

Ophelia just makes me sick sometimes, her plan of making him happy is basically doing the opposite
She decides to fake a whole act, just to make everyone miserable including the ones she trying to do the opposite too

I might as well kill matilda at this point
And i honestly agree with @Meo
but I also believe it's Orpheus's fault too
It's like "Fiancee of the wizard" they need communication
a lot actually
Matilda is what I call the person that commented vol.3 and 4 would be worth to read
she lied and I wanna choke her :)

Edit: I just realized, Orpheus is the Adrien in this :0
Adrien x Luka :0 is that even possible?

@6346 Actually, she could initiate the divorce, but then they would have to place the infidelity fault at him and she doesn't want that to happen so he and Diana become happy. It was pointed out specifically in ch. 1.

Meanwhile, I call bullshit. The butler IS a traitor. She's his direct employer and the head of the house while her husband is out. It's his very job to follow her orders to the letter.

...I'm kind of glad that this one is going way faster than the LN since the whole story is... Ridiculous? I just came to see how all of them were drawn 😅

Ah~ they skipped the part where Julius push and trips Ophelia's "father", what a let down
