She’s clearly just coping with the pressure she’s under. Claiming that "adults don’t have the luxury of time" and focusing on what she "likes" in a person seems like a way to justify settling for less than what she truly wants. It appears she’s trying to convince herself that love must be practical and about compromise, largely due to pressure from her parents. This mindset suggests she’s making peace with a situation that doesn’t fully align with her own desires, rather than holding out for a real connection that genuinely fulfills her.

Thanks for the chapter!

Romance hijinks huh, because Orizuru didn't mention the place she'd be meeting said partner but they somehow could dress up and make it there without interrupting the aura the place has. Unless next chapter is gonna explain this situation.

But she doesn't have the luxury of time. We're only alive for so many years and not all Japanese live to 100. We sleep for 24 years. Women can only give birth to children until they reach a certain age. She doesn't have the time to explore every possibility for a partner. Plus she's working as a teacher and that's time consuming.

You can't make every decision based on emotions like love because emotions come, go, and come again. You could meet someone you love, marry them, the love fades, you find another person you love so you divorce, the love fades again as time goes on.

Like the song says, "You can't always get what you want."

I can see both sides on this.

On one hand we tend to idealize the "ideal partner" which - if the objective is to be married - stops us from going for relationships that fall outside of that ideal. I don't mean abusive or dysfunctional relationships, but those with hangups. If time is a factor then waiting could have a big impact on the outcome.

On the other hand, fear can sometimes disguise itself as practicality. "Time running out" and pleasing the family takes over and people end up in marriages out of obligation, rather than love.

I personally don't think that Sensei should go for this simply because her family has helped her in life. As Litreara said, she is opting for something she doesn't want. This opens up the possibility for an unhappy marriage.

Looks like another way for her to keep staying at the Inn. Because of what she said, most likely the partner will be mostly okay for her taste, but the partner won't like her keeping her job which she loves.

She won't sacrifice her career for the "married" life.

Let's see who's the lucky guy looks like.
What's your bet?
1. Old, fat, ugly, bald guy. (Like me except being bald)
2. Otaku.
3. Spoiled little brat.
4. Arrogant, cold, uninterested guy.
5. Nice looking, charming, attractice, tall, big hands, handsome. And gay.
Notice that there are no good options obviously, since she's definitely not leaving the inn.
