Out of all the characters, Orizuru is probably the most forward when it comes to her interactions with Hiro. So there’s a chance that Hiro might expect her to act that way around the marriage partner and she instead comes off very stiff, which makes him spring into action if the guy tries to take advantage of her and she’s clearly not into it.

She’s clearly just coping with the pressure she’s under. Claiming that "adults don’t have the luxury of time" and focusing on what she "likes" in a person seems like a way to justify settling for less than what she truly wants.

Not sure if it's changing nowadays, but there was a big pressure in Japan (especially women) to marry before X age. That's where the whole "chistmas tree" insult came from: after 25 you put down the decorations.

There's a little truth in the matter that yes, as you get older it gets harder to find a partner. And if you care about kids it gets harder to make one as you age. But for someone in their 20's/early 30's that's a non-issue (and honestly, we have better tech for that these days if you do want to push out later).

Kinda stupid but that's "tradition" for you. Someone like Orizuru shouldn't be worried at all about finding a partner organically.

Given the fancy hotel setting, I'm going with charismatic socialite whose trash in private. Pretty typical NTR bait that makes sense in their world while being obviously bad to readers. And it makes the reveal all the more suprising to the parents.

Because they can't set her up to leave without altering the premise of the series.
