That is completely fine. No worries, I see Nadeshiko's mum as comic relief and somewhat of a mad scientist. I am not taking her too seriously. Still, what she is going to reveal next is going to be very interesting and important to the plot.

She also kinda just exists to be annoying and refuse to explain things. Like she has 100% of the information and 0 reason not to just explain things other than to fuck with MC. Like every “mystery” in the series only exists because she chooses for it to be mysterious and she chooses for it to be mysterious because, lemme check my notes, it’s funny (to her).

It kinda just makes me frustrated with the character whenever she appears.

Considering this chapter came out in December, it's not like they were rushing to get this out before the other group could do it. They did skip translating everything not in a bubble though. Makes me think they probably used MTL and it couldn't detect that text

not really, I was mostly really into the manga and wanted to see how it could evolve, since I have some Japanese skills and a lot of free time (I'm a uni student) I decided to invest it into translating...
I personally don't have anything against night heron, they're free to publish their translation (which is probably much better than mine knowing my very basic skills).
But since it's been 4 months and in Japan they're at chapter 29 I just wanted to level the playing field
