Honestly for as much as I like this manga, the sexy time, and the comedy, it's still very disappointing how non existant the actual romance is, and how unequal and emotionally shallow their relationship is.
Since the begining, I was hoping there would be more effort to touch on, and resolve the issues and questions of Nadeshiko's sentience, and her being a sex robot/slave, with no desires or wishes of her own, other than the imperative to pleasure and satisfy Akane.
I wished Akane would be the one to try and help Nadeshiko to be something more, but she is too emotionally immature, and addicted to sex, to do anything meaningful.
When Sakurako came it made things even worse, as she constantly meddles, and prevents anything meaningful from developing on it's own pace between them.
I had my hopes up was when Jun came along. She brough some actual romance and character development that wasn't entirely comedy and sex. She even seemingly made Nadeshiko jealous, questioning the nature, and meaning of her relationship. But it was all underdeveloped, and quickly ended in just a few of chapters.
Nadeshiko still primarily thinks of her self as a sex robot, and her wanting Akane for her self is hardly a development from her original purpose, and holds little value, when she easily continues to do her sexual function even to Jun, not seeing relationships or commitments as any obstacle.
I honestly don't have any emotional investment left in their relationship, it peaked during the Jun arc, and now it has become stale and dry. Even the comedy isn't as good without the hilarious meme's of the previous scanlator to end every chapter
