This is where the mangaka's absolute lack of relationship experience shines the brightest. What is even "committing to a relationship?" suppose to be? Is she gonna go "Now we are dating, you better free your 8am-5pm slot every day. I will keep attendance"? There is no need for absurd headcannon explanations. Author needs money. Story needs more chapters and 90% of shounen romcom writers literally can not write anything post confession.

You would never hear such a stupid shit from Marin or Gojo.

While you are right about all this just serving to get more chapters, it's ironic you use Marin as an example. 90% of the story is her planning to confess and then not doing it because of reasons, i.e. extending the story.

Saw this chapter was getting a fair bit of traction elsewhere and popped in to see why. All I can say is: FUCKING LOL.

God damn I'm glad I dropped this manga when the idol otaku bullshit went down. I absolutely hated what an insensitive prick the MC was toward this girl. And now the author is digging in deep on dragging out a story that has already been dragging its heels ad infinitum. I think this guy might just be a fucking hack.

I'm in the minority but I love this trope, there are a lot of cute things that can happen in this "mutual love but not yet dating" phase. I love watching characters not be able to figure out the distance, and I like them awkwardly hanging out and not knowing if it's a date, all of it works for me if the characters have good chemistry which these two do

Let me guess, new girls will shows up and get interest on MC then main girl get jealous and so and so. Then after 50 chapters MC will confess his feeling, they kisses and the manga ends. Or the manga went hiatus and will never get to the end.

What the hell is with all the vitriol? This is literally 95% of the game already finished. It's not like they asspulled his studies to block the confession. The confession is basically OVER. They both know how each other feel, no misunderstandings at all. We're just waiting for the insane pressure of exams to be over for a better time.

Because thinking about how the world works and being patient is just too much for some people.

I mean, on the one hand I can sort of understand, because they’ve been burnt by this trope in so many other, worse manga that they see it here and immediately resort to anger again, but the problem is that they can’t reconcile the fact that it actually makes sense here and this isn’t a terrible manga with their frustration, so they go with their initial kneejerk reaction to it, which is complaining.

Give me some good Comedy, Action, Romance with maybe a bit of Ecchi and I will keep on reading !

HOWEVER, this series is starting to show neither of these, so...
